WE HAVE A NEW ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT for 2011
J. Robert Mallinson from Elland Golf Course
NEW PRESIDENT INSTALLED
The incoming President of the Halifax Past Rabbit Captains Association, Mr Robert Mallinson of Elland Golf Club, was installed at the Annual General Meeting of the Association, held at Elland Golf Club on March 16th 2011, by the retiring President of the Association, Mr. Ian Tootell of Todmorden Golf Club.
Robert is a local man, being born, educated and employed as a Director in the Plumbing and Heating Industry within the Brighouse area. He has just finished his Presidency of the Elland Golf Club. He has been the Elland Rabbit Captain in 1981 and Club Captain in 1994, as well as being Club Captain of Castlefields, Brighouse in 1986.
The retiring President said of Robert, that he knew him to be a “fun”
person who would do a good job. Robert replied by saying how much he was looking
forward to taking over as President of the Association. He was going to enjoy
working closely with the Secretary Mr. Chris Iredale also of Brighouse and
Assistant Secretary Mr Paul Greenwood. He underlined that he would not be
able to do the job without the loyal support of his wife Christine.
